WiTemp+ Installation Basics

  1. The WiTemp+ sensor includes an onboard temperature sensor. To install using onboard temperature sensor, simply open the top of the sensor and insert the batteries.

    AA Lithium batteries required, pair included.

  2. WiTemp+ can be mounted with zip ties, Velcro straps, magnetic tape or screws, not included.

  3. Mount WiTemp+ vertically.

  4. For best signal strength to gateway, mount gateway vertically as well.

WiTemp+ Install App

Adding Witemp+ to location:

  1. Once the WiTemp+ is powered, the gateway will auto detect the device.

  2. Expand the device list by click on the “Plus” symbol next to the gateway.

  3. The WiTemp+ should be listed and highlighted in Red (unregistered)

  4. Click on the WiTemp+ and configure.

  5. If an external 1 wire sensor is connected, the sensor will automatically show up in the device list and be configured.

Connecting WiTemp+ to equipment:

  • Once registered, the Witemp+ can be connected to a piece of equipment.

WiTemp+ External Sensors

The WiTemp+ can accommodate a single 1-wire sensor or a single contact closure or pulse output device.

After 1-wire sensor is connected, cycle power of Witemp+.

 

Additional Installer App configuration needed for contact closure or pulse device.

 

WiTemp+ Door Sensors Wiring

  • A single or multiple door sensor(s) can be connected to a WiTemp+

  • Multiple sensors need to be wired in a series

  • No polarity with connection to Witemp+

  • Powerhouse Dynamics Support will need to change external connection to contactor closure, call us.

  • In some locations, remove the circuit board from the blue case and install using black enclosure, if provided.

 

 

 

Minimum cable should be visible, trim as needed.

 

 

WiTemp+ Battery Replacement

  1. To access the batteries, press inward on the lid tab and lift lid up.

  2. Remove existing batteries and replace with lithium batteries.

  3. After installing batteries, the red LED on the left side of the sensor should light up for approximately 5 seconds, confirming the sensor is powered on.

  4. Reinstall lid onto the sensor.
