Secure Access Point (SAP) Static IP Configuration
Open Kitchen Secure Access Point Network Configuration
The Open Kitchen Secure Access Point (SAP) is configured for DHCP network connection by default. But if the SAP is running firmware > rev 1.0.0, it can be reconfigured for a static IP address:
Power on the SAP.
Once it has booted up (about 2 minutes), change the position of the toggle switch. The actual position does not matter. There is no polarity. We are just tracking state change here.
• You should now see a network broadcasting with the SSID “ConfigSiteSageSAP”. If you do not, please wait a minute and flip the switch to the other position.
• Connect to the ConfigSiteSageSAP network. The password is the SAP S/N found on the back of the device.
• open a browser, and navigate to http://172.16.99.1:8080/
• You can now change from DHCP to Static configuration and enter your preferred settings.
• Press the Update button and the prompt to restart to apply the changes to save the configuration.
If the ConfigSiteSageSAP network is broadcasting after reset, change the state of the toggle switch again.
If you make a mistake or need to reconfigure the SAP for any reason, you can repeat the above steps.
Should you get stuck and need to Factory Reset the SAP at any time, you can do so by pressing and holding the reset button for 10-20s. After a factory reset, the SAP will be back in DHCP mode.
