Socket Creation: : Too many open files

Some systems may impose limits the maximum number of descriptors a process can open simultaneously. If when running the VCWM service the host system reports an error such as Socket Creation: : Too many open files then you will need to increase the maximum number of descriptors the VCWM process can open otherwise the VCWM service will not be able to communicate to the OKC and it may cause an assertion.

See c - Socket accept - "Too many open files" - Stack Overflow for information on how to change the environment that the VCWM service is running in to prevent this problem from occurring.

It is recommended to allow for a minimum of 512 descriptors for the VCWM process. Allowing more than the VCWM service requires does not cause the VCWM service to use more descriptors.
