Installation Walkthrough
Connecting equipment to Open Kitchen is generally a fairly simple process.
Identify how you’re connecting the equipment to the internet.
Connect the relevant hardware.
Verify connectivity if possible.
Record important pieces of information.
At present, there are only 3 potential pieces of hardware from Powerhouse Dynamics that might be involved in connecting the equipment to the internet. If you were provided any of the hardware pictured below, please refer to the relevant pages for specifics on how to connect them.
Secure Access Point (SAP)
ConnectWare Module 1 (CWM1)
ConnectWare Module 2 (CWM2)

If your installation is connecting without the use of any of the above hardware, please follow the directions provided by the original equipment manufacturer to connect your equipment. You will need to record the unique identifier of your equipment in order for your equipment to be properly assigned to your location in Open Kitchen. This value can vary by model, but it is generally one of the items below. If you are unsure, please ask the original equipment manufacturer to clarify which one is needed.
“Device ID” or “UUID” expressly stated in the equipment’s touchscreen
Equipment’s Serial Number
MAC Address of the equipment’s control board
