(CE) Menu Distribution

This section is broken up into three tabs: Distribution, Published Menus, and Scheduled Distributions. Once menus are published in the Menu Builder or are imported here via the Upload Menu action, they can be pushed to appropriate equipment.

To push a previously prepared menu to a particular piece of equipment in the Distribution tab, select one option from all the fields in the Select Menu to Distribute area. If the menu you wish to distribute exists as a file on your computer, you can select Upload Menu just above the table on the left side to add it to the list of available menus in Open Kitchen. Please confirm with your original equipment manufacturer that the menu file is in an appropriate format before attempting to distribute to your equipment.

The Published Menus tab provides a summary of the available menus that are selectable for distribution. To view any of the options at the upper left of the table, please be sure to select a row. It will be highlighted blue upon selection. Menus can be removed from the distribution group, cloned to be worked on in the Menu Builder, or exported for further review.

When distributing a menu in the Distribution tab, you have the option of scheduling the update to be sent out at a certain time after clicking the Distribute Menu button. You can use the Scheduled Distributions tab to modify or cancel any planned distributions that have not yet been sent out. Find the distribution you wish to change, highlight the relevant row(s), and then click either modify or cancel above the table on the left side.
