This tab is designed to help locate where in flow of data that communication has stopped. It’s oriented with the Open Kitchen Cloud at the top of the chain, and each step of connectivity below that is indented further to the right. To reveal each level, click on the green + icons to the left. Each tier of connectivity has its own “Last Connected” timestamp. This is in local time in a 24-hour format.
At the highest level, there is the Secure Access Point (SAP). This is a small device that needs to connect to the internet via an Ethernet cord. The Ethernet cord should be plugged into the WAN port, which is the furthest port from the power cord on the SAP. It needs a DHCP enabled connection on either an open port or one with access to *.sitesage.net whitelisted to get access to the internet. If the timestamp on your SAP is outdated, please review your network settings and ensure that the Ethernet cord is plugged into the correct port on the SAP. If your IT group has additional questions, please direct them to SAP IT Requirements and Additional Information.
The next level down is the ConnectWare Module (CWM). It is a small device on your equipment that communicates wirelessly to the SAP. Each CWM has a sticker (starting with CWV) indicating its serial number (the middle set of numbers) and the end of its device ID (last 4 characters on the sticker) so that you can match devices between Open Kitchen and your equipment onsite when troubleshooting. If the SAP has a current timestamp but the CWM’s timestamp is outdated at the time of installation, please see if it’s possible to locate the SAP closer to your equipment to check if there’s a signal strength issue. If that does not resolve the issue or if it is not possible to relocate the SAP, please send an email to support@powerhousedynamics.com for assistance.
At the end of the chain is your equipment. Clicking on the green plus to the left of the equipment will display various data points we get from the equipment along with timestamps for when we last received each value. If the “Last Connected” timestamp for your SAP and CWM are both current but your equipment’s timestamp is outdated, please reach out to your local equipment distributor or your installer for assistance. In this instance, there may be something blocking communication between the equipment and the CWM. It’s possible that your equipment may just need a firmware update.
