Organization
In Open Kitchen, sites can be added in hierarchies and groups for use in other sections. By default, hierarchies are referred to as “Regions” and “Sub-regions”, but you can add whatever terminology you prefer using the Rename Hierarchy Levels action on the right side of the screen. Selected rows will be highlighted blue. Your selection will determine which actions appear at the top of the table.
Account (Jay’s Bikes & BBQ in this example):
Add Region: creates a new region that locations can be assigned to
Region:
Add Sub-region: creates a new sub-region that locations can be assigned to within the region
Rename Region: change the region’s name
Delete Region: deletes the region (only selectable if no locations are assigned)
Sub-region:
Rename Sub-region: change the sub-region’s name
Delete Sub-region: deletes the sub-region (only selectable if no locations are assigned)
Location:
Unassign: move the location out any hierarchical group so that it appears under the account
Move: assign the location to a region or sub-region
The Groups tab operates very similarly to Hierarchy, but they are independent of each other and groups do not have sub-groups. They can be used in tandem to fine tune tables in various sections of Open Kitchen. Clicking on the Columns action in the Menu Distribution table allows you to add both values to filter your search criteria as an example.
