SAP Static IP Configuration
Open Kitchen Secure Access Point Network Configuration
The Open Kitchen Secure Access Point (SAP) is configured for DHCP network connection by default. But if the SAP is running firmware > rev 1.0.0, it can be reconfigured for a static IP address:
Power on the SAP.
Once it has booted up (about 2 minutes), change the position of the toggle switch. The actual position does not matter. There is no polarity. We are just tracking state change here.
You should now see a network broadcasting with the SSID “ConfigSiteSageSAP”. If you do not, please wait a minute and flip the switch to the other position.
Connect to the ConfigSiteSageSAP network. The password is the SAP S/N found on the back of the device.
Open a browser, and navigate to http://172.16.99.1:8080/
You can now change from DHCP to Static configuration and enter your preferred settings.
Press the Update button and the prompt to restart to apply the changes to save the configuration.
Go into your phone or laptop’s network settings. Disconnect and forget the ConfigSiteSageSAP network.
Wait roughly 60 seconds for the 2G or 5G LED to become active again.
Then, change the toggle switch to its original position.
Wait 30-45 seconds. If the ConfigSiteSageSAP network is broadcasting, change the state of the toggle switch again. The network should disappear after 15 seconds.
If you make a mistake or need to reconfigure the SAP for any reason, you can repeat the above steps.
Factory Reset
If the device appears to freeze during the configuration process, you can attempt a factory reset to resolve the issue.
Before attempting a factory reset, the SAP must be powered on and have an active 2G or 5G LED.
You can initiate a factory reset by pressing and holding the reset button for at least 10s.
Wait 3 minutes before interacting with the SAP again.
After a factory reset, the SAP will be back in DHCP mode.
