This page refers to only ConnectWare2 Modules.

By default, ConnectWare Modules (CWM) are pointing to Open Kitchen server endpoints. However, they can also be field configured to point to other endpoints via commands from the equipment serial interface.

There are 3 end points that can be configured.

  • Provisioning Endpoint

  • Push Endpoint

  • Pull Endpoint

Manual Configuration using a PC

A Connectware2 module can be manually configured using the Open Kitchen Equipment (OKE) Simulator. A ConnectWare Dock and a USB-A to USB-A cable are required to connect the CWM to the PC.

Using the OKE Simulator

View file
nameoke.zip
(oke.exe on a Windows PC) in a command terminal and a CWM connected to the PC as an example, the following menu options appear when pressing the Enter button.

p = (OKE->CWM) Configure Provision Custom Endpoint

> = (OKE->CWM) Configure Push Custom Endpoint
< = (OKE->CWM) Configure Pull Custom Endpoint

c = (OKE->CWM) Request Next Custom Endpoint

Using the ‘p', ‘<’, and '>’ commands, allows the user to enter custom URLs for these endpoints.

The command ‘c' can be used to fetch the provisioning endpoint from the CWM. This command is sequential. Pressing ‘c’ will first fetch the provisioning endpoint. Pressing 'c' again will fetch the push endpoint. Pressing 'c’ a third time will fetch the pull endpoint.

It is recommended to reboot the CWM after these changes are made for the CWM to begin connecting to the new endpoints.
