📝 Roof Top Units

Test rooftop units by engaging heating and cooling at each unit from existing thermostats.

  1.  Use temperature gun to verify heat working, cooling working for each RTU

  2. Record measurements and take photos in mobile app

📝 Existing Thermostats and Remote Sensors

Identify existing thermostats and remote sensors, if found, and confirm compatibility.

  1. Take photos of each thermostat with current set-points, mechanical settings, wiring at backplate

  2. Verify pre-requisites including common wire, compatibility, etc.

  3. Verify if remote sensors are in use

    1. If so, validate that they are wired, and wiring is compatible (see remote sensor compatibility doc).

    2. Validate remote sensor location and ensure no interference / blowers / exterior non-insulated walls, direct sunlight, etc.

🚨 If remote sensors are incompatible or must be relocated:

  1. Verify permission for additional scope

  2. Verify is running new remote sensor wire is possible

    1. Drop ceilings or surface mount preferred.

  3. Run new 18/2 shielded, making sure remote sensor wire is run separately from the bundle.
